Spantik Peak is known for its magnificent and gigantic beauty. The northwestern face on Nagar side is called “Ghenish Chish which is Burushaski word means Golden Mountain; it is named so because of its bright red color of the golden pillar. Genish is used for the queen in the local language, because of its beauty and elegance local people call it Queen of Mountains. Golden Parri is another named given to this by Conway which means Golden Fairy Spantik has always been a favorite of climbers and training themselves to train themselves for challenges. As it lies on the southern side of Hisper Glacier and stands above Chogolungma, Spantik usually offers splendid and picturesque views of mighty mountains. Spantik is pretty easy for mountaineers who are already experienced in climbing independently on snow and glaciers. You must have high altitude experience and an excellent physical condition as well as regular practice to climb this peak.
